Key Responsibilities
* Crisis intervention and trauma response
* Counselling and case management for patients with illness adjustment, domestic violence, child protection, end-of-life care, and bereavement support
* Staff and student supervision
* Policies and procedures development for service improvement
* Training and education provision
* Negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills
* Quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes
* Collaboration with culturally and linguistically diverse client groups
* Participation in after-hours crisis on-call social work service
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess well-developed time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, high-level computer literacy, and negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills.
A degree in social work is required, along with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
You must meet the selection criteria and possess a strong understanding of issues associated with working with culturally and linguistically diverse client groups.
