Overview We're looking for a Cost Estimator to join our dynamic team in our Melbourne office. This position requires an experienced person who will work with construction managers, project managers, and discipline leaders in planning and coordination of the company's estimating needs in support of at-risk design/build or construction projects as well as our A/E services group. Responsibilities include reviewing proposal drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimate or bid. The candidate will be skilled at preparing discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work by CSI Division. Maintaining files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, prices lists, etc. May review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction such as constructability reviews and plan and specification coordination.
