Department:RIGHT OF WAY DEPARTMENTRegion:HEAD OFFICENumber of vacancies:4Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Right-of-Way Department Head, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following:Scope of WorkReview of complaints, judicial affidavits, and notices to take possession, pleadings of retained lawyers prior to filing, MOAs, memoranda, letters and other correspondences, and other legal documents/instruments pertaining to land and land rights acquisition.Legal pass on DOAS, ROW Grants, Contracts to Sell, ROW Nego Cards, Quitclaims, and other contracts and deeds of conveyances.Preparation and filing of urgent pleadings.Handling, including attendance to hearings, of expropriation cases, if and when required.Liaising with external counsel, if and when required.Giving of advice in all ROW‐related legal matters affecting the rights and interests of NGCP in accordance with prevailing laws, jurisprudence, rules and regulations and corporate policies, guidelines, circulars, memoranda and ROW Manual.Monitoring of the status of expropriation cases (especially the immediate securing of writs of possessions), including the review and timely submission of the status report.Monitoring of the ROW negotiation and documentation of the assigned projects.Rendering of legal assistance to project team and other legal services as required.Regular assessment on ROW claims with ROW issues and provides guidance and briefing to Team Leaders and negotiators prior to negotiations/meetings with project affected persons or government agencies.Report, monitoring and coordination involving key legal issues with the Regional Head and Legal Team.ProjectsMetro Manila Backbone (North) Project for Resiliency, System Reliability, and Smart Grid Development (2)Metro Manila Backbone (South) Project for Resiliency, System Reliability, and Smart Grid Development (2)RequirementsGraduate of Juris Doctor.Active membership in the Philippine Bar Association.Proficient in speaking and writing in English.Good management skills.Knowledge in goal/target setting and evaluating accomplishments relative to goals/targets.Attention: In relation to the Data Privacy Act of 2012, please be reminded that by providing your personal details, you agree that NGCP may use such information as part of your application and our assessment of your qualifications to the position posted or any other position where your qualifications may fit.
