Our business continues to grow rapidly so we are seeking to appoint a Pharmacist to join our fast-paced and dynamic team.
About the opportunity:
A unique opportunity presents itself for a Pharmacist to join Astrid Dispensary, an industry leader in the specialty pharmacy space. You will be reporting to the Pharmacist Manager, and you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks including:
* Dispensing of specialised medications in accordance with recommendations made by physicians
* Verifying patient prescriptions in accordance with Federal SAS-B and Authorised Prescriber documentations, and any relevant State approvals
* Providing exceptional customer experience, including an emphasis on patient education for the safe and quality use of medicines
* Provide counselling to patients in both face to face and telehealth settings to ensure the safe and therapeutic use of specialised medicines
* Work closely with clinic partners, and maintain relationships with doctors and key stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with all relevant statutes, regulations and directives of the pharmacy guidelines
* Stock management
* Manage daily workflows and staffing
* Facilitate provision of exceptional healthcare and service
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical research in therapeutic areas of chronic pain, mood and sleep for cannabinoid medicines
* Prior experience with cannabinoid or specialty medicines is preferred but not required
Your story so far:
As an experienced Pharmacist, you will have a background in a pharmacy setting.
Australian citizenship is required for this position.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Proven experience in community pharmacy and customer service
* Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacy experience is required
* New graduates welcome
* A current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist
* A patient-centric mindset, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive can-do attitude
* Enthusiasm and compassion for patients in both face-to-face and digital settings
* Have an uncompromising attention to detail
* Strong business acumen & be highly organised
* A strong desire to learn and thrive in a rapidly evolving industry
Ideally, you will need to possess:
* Proven capability with Microsoft Office & Excel
* A vibrant personality and excellent communication skills
* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative team environment
* Ability to think outside the box and problem solve
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
