A global medical device company with a significant and growing presence across Australia and New Zealand. One of the largest businesses in their sector globally, they supply products directly to hospitals and healthcare providers across the region.
Across ANZ the business operates 9 sites spanning corporate offices, warehouses, distribution centres and technical services facilities. It is a complex, multi‐environment portfolio.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Workplace Operations APAC based in Singapore, you will be the most senior leader for facilities and workplace operations across ANZ. You will own the operational running of all the sites – the buildings, the vendors, the budgets, and the team – and sit at the local leadership table as the face of the function internally.
This is a newly created role. It has been introduced to provide a leader for the team who can give direction to the real‐estate and facilities function internally – and to help transition this business unit from being a reactive maintenance function to a proactive facilities and workplace operations team.
Responsibilities
* Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 5
* Procuring and transitioning to a single integrated FM provider across all sites
* Owning CAPEX and OPEX budgets and building business cases through a global approval structure
* Overseeing preventative maintenance, EHS compliance, and landlord relationships across the portfolio
* Leading office fit‐outs, renovations, and site projects across the region
* Sitting at the local leadership table and developing portfolio strategy alongside your APAC Director
* Reporting on performance to regional leadership and acting as the primary escalation point for urgent facilities matters
What we are looking for
* Demonstrated people leadership experience leading a team
* In‐house Facilities Management, Workplace Operations or Corporate Real Estate at a large multinational – particularly where the portfolio spans both warehouse and corporate office environments
* Senior account managers from integrated Facilities Management providers managing large multi‐site client accounts across operations, design and strategy
* You understand warehouse and distribution environments – not just how to manage them but how to look at one and identify a better way of doing it
* Confident and direct style, you are able to hold your own in a room full of commercial leaders, you say what you think, but you know how to back yourself with data.
* You are commercially astute – able to build and socialize a business case, present to senior leaders, and operate as a credible peer to a sales‐led business
* You know the Australian market and understand how to get things done locally
