Zookeepers/Educators/Wildlife Presenters
We are seeking multiple, fulltime and casual staff for our brand new, School Camp Programs at Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary.
With the rapid development and expansion of our school camp accommodation, Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary is entering an increasingly busy and exciting period. We are seeking multiple, enthusiastic and reliable Zookeepers, Educators, and Wildlife Presenters to join our team to support our growing operations and ensure we are fully prepared for the months ahead.
This role is hands on, varied, and fast paced, and is ideal for individuals who are passionate about wildlife, enjoy working with people, and are comfortable contributing across a wide range of activities in a dynamic camp environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
-Daily husbandry and care of native Australian wildlife -Maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare
-Assisting with and delivering wildlife presentations and outdoor education activities for school groups
-Supporting school camp operations, including dusk tours and after hours animal experiences
-Engaging with students, teachers, and the general public in a positive and professional manner
-Assisting with basic meal preparation and meal service for school camp groups
-Maintaining clean, safe, and organised animal enclosures and camp facilities
-Maintaining camp accommodation and camp acilities
-Working collaboratively as part of a team during busy camp periods
About You:
-A genuine passion for Australian wildlife and conservation
-Comfortable working with children and engaging diverse groups of all ages
-Confident communicator, willing to learn public speaking and presentation skills
-Flexible and reliable, with availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and dusk tours
-Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks
-Previous experience in animal care, education, hospitality, or outdoor programs is highly regarded
