Can you see yourself taking the next step in your professional engineering career working for a globally respected supplier of metrology equipment supporting their Australia customers installing, commissioning and calibrating their high-end machines? Our client is changing their Australian footprint to focus on the more technology rich products in their portfolio. This requires the addition of several new technical roles in their Port Melbourne office. These roles will be supported with international training of 3 months in Singapore with the subject matter experts on their products and a month in Thailand with their customers for the successful candidates.
Your role
* Lead the installation, calibration, and repair of measuring instruments at our clients' Australian customers.
* Perform troubleshooting skills independently in-house or on-site to resolve customer issues.
* Conduct customer training for new installations.
* Be the technical voice to drive the Australian arm of the business forward
About you
* Minimum bachelor level degree qualified in Engineering; most likely Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical
* Around 3 years of post-graduation professional experience but recent graduates may be considered.
* Available to complete 4 months of training in Singapore and Thailand later this year
* Australian drivers licence and access to a vehicle
* Enjoys regular travel to interstate or overseas subsidiaries typically for a few days at a time as part of ongoing role.
* Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to thrive in a customer environment.
