About the role

The Conservation Program Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring environmental stewardship and conservation of land with important natural values for future generations.

As a Conservation Program Officer you will:

* Contribute to the management of the overall Private Land Conservation Program, including initiatives to contemporise our approach.
* Visit beautiful properties around Tasmania and undertake site assessments to establish new conservation covenants.
* Engage with and provide advice on management of nature values to a diverse range of conservation covenant landowners across the state.
* Use your ecology and basic mapping skills to inform the preparation of conservation covenant documents.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).


Essential requirements

* A current driver’s licence.


Desirable requirements

* Tertiary qualifications in ecology, natural sciences, environmental management, and equivalent relevant experience (including in field work).
