In this role, you’ll:
Bring extensive experience in road construction and maintenance, particularly levelling and trimming processes.
Utilise your demonstrated ability to trim and finish road pavements to tight tolerances.
Operate plant machinery to achieve predetermined tolerances, achieving high quality and smooth road output.
Lead, monitor and control the operation of all other plant and staff in road operations being undertaken, particularly levelling and trimming processes.
Undertake projects outside of Hay that will require working away from home. You will be paid a living away from home allowance, paid accommodation and paid travel time to and from work sites.
Perform the duties of a Road Worker Grade 3 when not operating the Grader.

About you
We’re seeking a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments.
You are a well-seasoned Finishing Grader Operator with experience using Topcon GPS to assist with levels and alignment.
You will also hold the following:
- White Card.
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s license.
- Experience operating plant machinery.
- Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment.
A Medium Rigid and above truck licence, while not essential, would be advantageous.
Experience using Caterpillar 140 M Graders is preferred but not essential.
We are open to receive applications who live outside the region with temporary accommodation/relocation support on offer subject to approval.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on major Government Road and pavement widening projects across regional NSW that will benefit the community.
