**Position Information**:
Baulkham Hills High School is a coeducational academically selective school with a support unit located in the North West of Sydney. The Support Unit caters for students with mild and moderate intellectual disability and autism. The school is culturally diverse and has an enrolment of 1,221 with 94% of students from a language background other than English. Entry into Year 7 is via an entrance examination which is conducted by the Selective High Schools and Opportunity Class Placement Unit of Department of Education. Entry into available places in Years 8 to 12 is determined by the school and is based on evidence of consistent academic excellence at the applicant's former school. Students are encouraged to be well-rounded individuals and to participate in leadership opportunities, bands programs, cadets, sporting pursuits, Duke of Edinburgh award and a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Committed staff support the learning and wellbeing needs of both high potential and gifted students and students with learning support needs. The school places a robust emphasis on academic excellence and providing a broad curriculum. Other focus areas include growth mindset, wellbeing and the development of social responsibility.
**Selection Criteria**:
1. Approval to teach Technology Mandatory ITX (Years 7 - 8), approval/willingness to teach Design and Technology DAT (Years 9 - 10) and willingness to teach Industrial Technology Engineering ENS (Years 9 - 10).
2. Capacity to design and deliver innovative, differentiated, and inclusive programs for a diverse range of student learning needs.
3. Proven ability of classroom management and the capacity to manage practical workspaces to ensure student safety, full participation and high levels of engagement in lessons to enhance student learning opportunities in a range of practical contexts.
4. Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a team to collaboratively develop, implement and evaluate quality teaching and learning programs and assessment tasks, analyse student performance data and contribute effectively to faculty learning agendas and priorities.
