We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end national payroll function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys autonomy, process improvement, and partnering closely with multiple offices across Australia.
Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end national payroll on a fortnightly cycle, including leave, bonuses, parental leave and compliance with internal policies
* Oversee terminations, redundancies, PAYG updates and ensure ongoing alignment with Fair Work legislation
* Handle month-end and year-end payroll duties including GL postings, reconciliations, STP reporting and headcount data
* Manage payroll tax and workers compensation requirements, including payments, returns, audits and compliance updates
* Process monthly superannuation, salary sacrifice updates and fund changes while ensuring all obligations are met
* Maintain accurate employee data across Preceda and Deltek, including new starters, visa updates, allowances and job cost rates
* Support award rate reviews, process improvements and provide ad hoc reporting and payroll problem-solving to studios nationwide
*About you:*
* Strong end-to-end payroll experience in a complex or multi-site environment
* In-depth knowledge of awards, superannuation, payroll tax, Fair Work compliance and STP
* Experience using Aurion and/or Deltek is highly regarded
* A proactive person who enjoys refining processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting a wide range of stakeholders
