Our clients are a leading provider of quality products to niche markets across QLD and NSW for over 70 years. They are on the lookout for a Strategic Procurement Manager to spearhead their procurement activities and ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
**About the Role**:
As the Strategic Procurement Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our procurement strategies and processes. You'll oversee procurement activities across various categories, driving efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies and procedures to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitoring supplier performance to uphold quality standards and manage risks effectively.
- Driving initiatives to find cost-effective solutions for our diverse product range.
- Managing the product life cycle, including the introduction and retirement of vendor products.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and innovative procurement practices.
- Providing expertise and negotiation skills to support and empower our business functions.
- Leading the development and implementation of procurement strategies tailored to our business needs.
**About You**:
Ideally you hold a qualification in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field, coupled with procurement experience, within reinforcing steel, injection moulding or industrial products.
You excel in strategic thinking, with proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role, demonstrating strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills. Your experience in facilities improvement management and exceptional analytical abilities make you adept at navigating complex financial data and driving effective procurement processes. With excellent communication and organizational skills, you thrive in collaborative environments and are ready to lead the procurement team to new heights of success.
