We have a fixed term position available for a Sous Chef to lead Steak & Oyster Co West HQ. This role will be required from 10 June 2024 through to 22 September 2024.Who's right for the job?Someone with experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent leadership position. A person with passion for making good food. You will need to be a helpful member of the team with a strong work ethic. A leader who can mentor and guide junior staff. You will be a true professional, who understands the importance of cooking steak to the customers desired level and you will take pride in delivering a consistently high level.Someone who doesn't mind working a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays is a must.What do you need to be considered?You must be an experienced Sous Chef or equivalentExtensive experience in the Grill SectionBe able to work under pressure, in a heated environmentAbility to lead the team to ensure quality, standards and cleanliness are met and exceededAbility to coach and mentor junior staffExcellent attitudeAbility to effectively lead a team to provide a consistent product Ability to cope well under pressure to ensure guests food expectations are exceededKnowledge of HACCP and food safety standardsWilling to work a range of shifts including lunch and dinner as requiredExperience in menu selection/creation is advantageous Available to work across any of the 7 days a week including nights, weekends and public holidaysFull Australian working rights
