The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join ourPlate Mill Departmentat ourPort KemblaManufacturing facility as aMechanical Maintenance Coordinator. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
In this business-critical role, you will coordinate and execute routine maintenance work and attend to plant mechanical challenges, while also coordinating trade personnel and contractors to deliver a cost-effective, quality-focused and flexible maintenance function to the Plate Mill Section.
What Will You Do?
As a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator, you will:
* supervise the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organising, execution and review of maintenance
* coordinate and provide technical support to the maintenance resources within the section
* coach, mentor and develop maintenance personnel in manufacturing excellence principles and process, particularly around root cause and problem analysis and the development and execution of corrective actions
* participate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projects
* respond to day-to-day and after-hours Mechanical equipment and reliability issues
More About You
As an enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will bring your experience and demonstrate a willingness to develop your skills. You will also bring:
* a Mechanical Trade or tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
* experience working in a similar industry within Mechanical Maintenance, with a focus on defect elimination and equipment reliability
* a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others
* experience in maintenance coordination and collaboration with multiple internal and external customers
* experience with the use of CMMS, or equivalent maintenance management systems
