ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We're a fluid power specialist with a solid footprint across Brisbane's industrial, mobile plant and drilling sectors - and we're growing. We need a switched-on Hydraulic Technician who takes pride in doing quality work and wants to be part of a team that actually values their trade.
This isn't a revolving-door role. We invest in our people, and most of our senior techs started exactly where you're standing now. If you're the kind of person who reads a schematic before reaching for tools and can explain a fault without hand-waving - read on.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
No two days are identical. Across workshop and field, you'll handle:
* Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic faults on mobile plant and industrial systems
* Rebuilding cylinders, pumps, motors and directional control valves
* Reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics and circuit diagrams
* Hose assembly, fabrication and high-pressure testing
* Planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown response
* Writing clear, accurate service reports and job documentation
WHAT YOU BRING
Must Have:
* Trade qualification - Cert III Engineering (Mechanical or similar) or equivalent experience
* 3+ years of hands‐on hydraulic experience in industrial, mobile or high-pressure systems
* Solid fault‐finding ability - you diagnose with logic, not luck
* Current driver's licence and full Australian work rights
Nice to Have (We'll Train the Rest):
* Field service experience
* Forklift, EWP or White Card tickets
* Hands‐on time with Parker, Bosch Rexroth, Danfoss and Eaton equipment
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
* Competitive hourly rate benchmarked to your experience - we pay to retain good people
* Real overtime availability, not just a line in an ad
* Company vehicle for field roles - no kilometres out of your pocket
* Full uniform and PPE kit on day one
* A team that's been working together for years - low turnover for a reason
* Clear pathway into senior technician and supervisory roles for those who want it
HOW TO APPLY
Send your resume to us and include a short note covering:
* Your hydraulic experience - years in the trade and the types of systems you know best
* Any trade qualifications or tickets you hold
* Your availability and notice period
* Your expected hourly rate
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for a relaxed phone conversation first - no surprise panels, no trick questions. We just want to know if it's a valuable fit for both sides.
Sound like you? Apply now - we're actively interviewing.
