The site employs over 300 people and processes a range of vegetables grown by local Tasmanian producers, supplying premium frozen products to customers nationwide. Reporting to the Process Area Manager, these roles will commence in late January / early February 2026. Successful candidates will work within a high-volume production environment, processing locally grown brassica vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts) into market-leading frozen food products. The brassica season is anticipated to run until approximately June / July 2026, subject to harvest yields. What You Will Do The Production Operator duties will include, but are not limited to: • Safe operation of vegetable processing fixed plant and equipment (e.g. decoring & floretting machines) • Intake and receival of raw materials • Quality inspections and foreign object removal • Sorting, separation, and grading of raw materials • Monitoring and supporting production line performance • Contributing to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and quality initiatives • Participating in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities • Cleaning of plant, equipment, and general work areas For suitably experienced & licenced candidates with demonstrated forklift experience, additional duties may include: • Safely transporting finished goods between production areas across the site • Using fork-mounted RF systems and radio communications • Operating forklifts within cold store and freezer environments • Performing pre-start checks on forklift equipment • Refuelling gas-powered forklifts and changing spent batteries on electric forklifts About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: • A 100% commitment to safety, health & wellbeing in the workplace • Availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster, including day / afternoon / night shifts • Capacity to perform repetitive manual handling tasks in a physically active role • Availability to commence in late January / early February 2026, with employment concluding mid-2026 • Previous experience in food manufacturing or vegetable processing (desirable) • Valid Australian work rights, with visa validity until at least July 2026 • A reliable work ethic and positive communication skills • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment, including urine-based drug and alcohol screening • A current High Risk LF licence with demonstrated forklift operating experience (mandatory for roles that include forklift duties) Please note these roles do not qualify for 88 days Working Holiday Visa sign-off.
