Invasive Plants and Animals (IPA) significantly affect the environment, agricultural production, infrastructure, human health and our way of life in general.
The IPA program directs, facilitates and delivers strategic and targeted action to reduce the impact of invasive species in Queensland.
As our Biosecurity Officer, you will provide support that protects and enhances invasive species management in Queensland.
With Queensland being affected by more biosecurity incursions than any other Australian state or territory, your efforts will be integral in helping the government prevent, respond to, and recover from biosecurity concerns that threaten our environment, communities and the economy.
You will know you're achieving success in the role when you:
• are dedicated to protecting and enhancing Queensland landscapes
• are preventing and reducing priority pest impacts on-ground.
• are actively assisting the progress of a high-performing team.
It is a requirement for all Biosecurity Queensland positions to have a criminal history check completed.
