Five Shifts a Week
(Wednesday to Sunday / All 3.3pm - 7.30pm - except Friday 7am -2pm)
Aegis Aged Care have several vacancies for experienced Kitchen Hands, within our beautiful Hilton Park Facility.
Located in the heart of the Hilton, Aegis Hilton Park caters for up to 136 residents and provides Low, high and Dementia specific care services. **About You**
As a Kitchen Hand you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook/ Chef Manager.
A working day will involve:
- Preparing resident's meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
- Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.
- Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.
You should ideally be an empathetic person who:
- Enjoys working with the elderly.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
- Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
You should possess the following:
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
- Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
- A knowledge of food safety.
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
