The Opportunity Play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the engineering foundations that keep Gold Fields Australia operating safely, reliably and efficiently. You will be central to maintaining long‑term asset integrity, meeting legislative obligations and preventing major business‑impact events through strong engineering risk management.

As the single point of accountability for engineering governance, you will lead the development and oversight of engineering standards, asset management plans, maintenance strategies, risk frameworks and technical discipline leadership. Your work ensures the organisation has robust engineering foundations that support strategic production plans, long‑life asset performance and disciplined critical risk management.

You will also provide strategic leadership across the organisation — influencing senior stakeholders and driving a culture of engineering excellence. This includes building capability through communities of practice, mentoring engineers and supervisors, and setting clear expectations for engineering quality, risk management and professional conduct.

A key part of the role is translating legislative and statutory requirements into practical, executable engineering systems that lift performance across all operations. You will champion collaboration, strengthen cross‑functional alignment and ensure engineering decisions support both operational needs and long‑term business objectives.
