Senior Manager - Business Services Accountant
A growing and highly regarded accounting and advisory firm in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to work alongside its leadership team on a high-quality business client base. This is not a typical compliance role, it's a genuine advisory position for someone who thrives at the intersection of tax strategy, commercial finance, and client leadership. Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse portfolio of business clients across tax compliance, financial reporting and strategic advisory
* Review financial statements and tax returns across individuals, partnerships, trusts & companies
* Lead virtual CFO engagements, delivering budgeting, cash flow forecasting and commercial insights to business owners and founders
* Provide tax planning and structuring advice across complex business and family group arrangements
* Lead succession planning and business advisory conversations at senior level
* Review and mentor junior accountants, supporting their development and quality of output
* Drive client engagement, acquisition and retention, building long-term trusted relationships
The Ideal Candidate
* Experienced in a management position in public practice across business services and tax
* Strong technical knowledge across business entity structures
* Proven track record in Virtual CFO and business advisory work, able to translate numbers into commercial decisions
* Experience with tax planning and structuring for privately owned businesses and family groups
* Strong leadership presence, able to mentor a team while maintaining excellent senior-level client relationships
* Proactive, commercially curious, and comfortable managing a varied client portfolio in a fast-paced environment
* Someone who genuinely enjoys the advisory side, building client relationships, not just filing returns
