As a Support Worker with Activ in **Bunbury**, you will be making a real impact in the lives of others by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement. **Future opportunities may include**:
- Permanent part time hours 
- Casual hours, anticipating 15-25 hours per week for leave coverage. This may include shifts starting at 6am, shifts finishing at 8pm, and overnight sleep shifts. _Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate availability during school hours only for our casual pool._
**A typical day as a Support Worker may look like**:
- Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals and working to achieve them 
- Joining customers in recreational activities such as swimming, dancing, bingo, horseback riding, going to the gym, bowling and more 
- Supporting customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments 
- Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed; and 
- Administration duties and mandatory daily reports. 
- Live in the Bunbury region 
- Have willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping) 
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships. 
- Passion for providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives. 
- Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration. 
- Proven administration and computer literacy skills. 
- Availability to work between 15-25 hours per week. 
- Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021), OR willingness to work towards the qualification. 
- A valid driver's licence and a willingness to use your private vehicle (with rebates available).
