In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in Northwest Queensland and Western Australia.Job DescriptionAquila Mine is seeking a highly motivated Training Coordinator competent in scheduling and delivering training related tasks and ensuring compliance to corporate policy and legislative requirements. The mine is situated in Middlemount, Queensland where you will find a local community looking to expand and grow its people.As the Training Coordinator your responsibilities are, but not limited to:Coordinating the end-to-end process for targeted training programs for our Aquila Mine.Support the Training Superintendent in the provision of sound advice to line managers in all aspects of training management and assist in the delivery of the business plan.Create the site Training Needs Analysis, full preparation and execution of training days and implementation of Training Systems.Actively coaching and mentoring site Trainers and Assessors in their delivery of classroom, practical and operational training.Development of the Training plan and Anglo initiatives to achieve specific business goals, and by identifying and recommending opportunities to increase the efficiency or effectiveness of training service provision.Assist with ensuring crew proficiency levels in accordance with site training needs.Monitor and maintenance of site training compliance including management of the Document Control Register.Driving continuous improvement and best practice for training delivery.Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all site interactions and take full ownership for safety on site.QualificationsThe key attributes contributing to your success in this role will include:Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or current equivalent) or relevant tertiary degree.Experience with the use of Learning Management Systems (similar to SuccessFactors and Kando) and content authoring tools (similar to Articulate Rise 360).Experience in delivering site-based training requirements or programs.Current Supervisor competencies (S1, 2, 3) and Risk Management (G2) is desirable.Your strong communication and team-building skills, as well as your drive to deliver high quality output in a timely manner will be key to your success in the role.Additional InformationFull-time, permanent position at Aquila Mine, Middlemount QLDMonday to Friday site role with 9-day fortnight availableCompetitive salary package and annual incentive programsResidential, FIFO (company funded) & DIDO optionsSubsidised accommodation and company funded camp options availableRelocation Assistance availableFree gym membershipAnglo American company benefitsWhat we OfferWhen you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package.
