About the Role
We are seeking a Cook / Food Service Assistant (IN16 and IN13–IN14) for a part‐time, permanent position on the PM shift, requiring 24 hours per week under the direction of the Support Services Coordinator.
Responsibilities
* Plating, cleaning and providing meal services to all residents.
* Preparing and producing simple meals, modifying patient meals and fluids as per menu requirements.
* Reheating all patient meals and serving in conjunction with the Food Services Assistant.
* Preparing sandwiches and salads; dishwashing; meal trolley delivery.
* Preparing short‐order meals as required.
* Ensuring core temperature of food reaches above 75°C.
* Monitoring waste management.
* Maintaining work area in accordance with Food Safety standards, including thorough kitchen cleaning and sanitising.
* Informing coordinators of required food stock levels.
Qualifications
* Food Safety Certificate HLTFSE001.
* Food Safety Supervisors Certificate HLTFSE005 & HLTFSE007.
* Previous experience in a commercial kitchen.
* Previous experience in an aged care environment (desirable).
* Current NDIS Check, or willingness to obtain one.
