About the Opportunity
We are searching for our next Wardsperson or Health and Security Assistant to join us in this meaningful role to support clinical staff in the delivery of exceptional patient care.
As the Wardsperson, you will be responsible for:
* Providing patient assistance and support clinical staff in the delivery of personal hygiene, lifting, repositioning, transfers and transportation of patients.
* Assisting in the preparation of deceased patients for transfer to the mortuary and provide support for family viewings as required.
* Ensure the safe erection, transfer and removal of bed and bedside equipment, medical gas cylinders and other supplies
The Health and Security Assistant will assist in ensuring the security and safety of all staff, patients and visitors and the protection of property as well as assisting with a range of other patient-focused duties such as cleaning, patient support and administrative tasks as required.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Demonstrate genuine care for patients' wellbeing and comfort, with the ability to interact respectfully with a diverse range of people
* Understand the importance of infection control and hygiene protocols
* Be reliable, punctual and willing to work a roster spanning 24/7 services
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Confidence using computers and security systems.
* A current NSW Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
* A current driver's licence and is willing to travel as needed (including long distances).
Health and Security Assistants must demonstrate:
* NSW Security Licence (Class 1A) and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
