Position OverviewThe Teaching Education Manager is a leadership role within the organisation, responsible for supporting the Division Head, leading and supervising a team of teaching and non-teaching staff, and promoting educational excellence across various programs including pre-apprenticeship, VETiS, apprenticeships, and post-trade programs.The role may include teaching responsibilities in at least one specialist area, requiring relevant vocational qualifications, industry expertise, and skills for program delivery.Key RequirementsAn approved degree, advanced diploma, diploma, or equivalent with industry experience and current vocational workplace competencies, along with management experience.An accredited teacher training course at AQF Level 6 or above, evidencing studies in adult learning, vocational teaching, and applied research, with at least 4 years of teaching and 2 years of relevant vocational experience.A vocational teaching qualification, such as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).Employment Victorian Working with Children clearance and a satisfactory Police Check.Desirable QualificationsA management qualification or willingness to undertake one.Experience with Microsoft Office and relevant industry software.About UsSWTAFE is South West Victoria’s leading vocational education provider, offering diverse courses across multiple sectors.
