Where you'll be working
The Griffith Base Hospital offers a range of specialist services, including emergency medicine, critical care, general medicine, surgery, paediatric medicine, oncology, obstetrics, respiratory medicine, renal dialysis, Hospital in the Home, and rehabilitation.

What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Clinical Director of Emergency Department, the Staff Specialist/VMO will participate in the consultant on-call roster, assist with departmental education, and provide clinical care to patients to ensure optimal outcomes.
Support at other MLHD sites may also be required.

Selection Criteria
Holds Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Emergency Medicine
Recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine at the relevant service delineation
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership
Effective communication skills, including use of information technology
Commitment to teaching, research, and quality improvement
Availability for on-call duties and on-site response within a reasonable time
Alignment with NSW Health CORE values and MLHD strategic goals
