About the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and reviewing electrical systems, managing project documentation, and providing technical support to maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing and reviewing electrical systems for capital works and operational projects
* Developing and managing project documentation, estimates, schedules, contracts, and RFIs across all phases of capital works while coordinating closely with Operations and other disciplines
* Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and site safety requirements
* Providing technical support to maintenance teams for troubleshooting and reliability improvements
Requirements
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have a degree in Electrical Engineering, 3-5 years of experience in heavy industry, preferably within mining or large scale industrial projects. Strong technical knowledge in electrical design, power distribution, and protection systems is also required.
* Experience managing projects and contractors from concept to commissioning
* Familiarity with mining electrical infrastructure such as substations, MCCs, VSDs, and instrumentation
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
