Agronomist Sales Professional
About the Role:
Our organisation is seeking an Agronomist Sales Professional to provide agronomic and technical support to our farmers and producers in the region. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a trusted advisor in an agronomy role, with a solid understanding of the products, seasonal timings and general requirements of rural producers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide agronomic and technical support to our farmers and producers in the region
* Product sales both in store and on farm
* Build solid and long-term client relationships
* Develop a strong understanding of the clients' business goals
* Share technical and market information to enable clients to improve the performance and sustainability of their farming enterprises
* Maintain relationships with a list of existing customers
* Target new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input
* Stay current with latest plant production practices
* Run and coordinate field days and farmer meetings
* Be the go-to subject matter expert in the region for pasture production agronomic inputs and other advice
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field and a current driver's licence. They will also possess sound customer service, organisational, administrative and computing skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
