About The Position
Grand Pacific Health's Medicare Mental Health Centre provides a safe and welcoming entry point for people experiencing distress/crisis, and/or with moderate to severe mental health needs. The centre provides high quality, evidence-based assessment, care coordination, information, support, and treatment to people experiencing psychological distress, their family, carers, and support networks. The multidisciplinary mental health team facilitates a holistic and collaborative approach to care which addresses a broad range of social, physical, and emotional needs.
The Mental Health Clinician, Wagga Wagga works collaboratively with consumers and their family/carers to identify their support needs, goals and develop collaborative care plans. The position provides high quality biopsychosocial assessment, care coordination and evidence-based, focused psychological interventions to consumers.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity with the option for a Rostered Day Off each month, based in Wagga Wagga. The service will operate seven days a week and candidates should be flexible and available to work on a rostered basis, including on weekends and outside of normal business hours, as needed.
We Are Looking For Someone With
* Current full or working towards AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, or occupational therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards for occupational therapists in mental health), or accreditation with the AASW as a mental health social worker (or working toward)
* Demonstrated ability to engage with consumers and their families or carers to undertake assessment to determine care needs and provide care coordination and referral support
* Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic supports
* Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills and ability work as part of a team as well as independently
* Current driver's license and willingness to travel for the role and flexibility to work outside normal business hours
