Our client is an industry leader in the manufacturing of housing construction materials, boasting 60 years in the industry and locations Australia wide. Their growing team in Melbourne's west is looking for experienced timber truss assemblers to join their busy team.
Commencing as a Flex casual, there will be the opportunity to move into a permanent position in the company for the right person.
About the role
Assemblers will be responsible for constructing and assembling timber roof trusses in a manufacturing and construction setting.
Duties include
Gathering pre-cut timber pieces and assembling trusses
Using hand & power tools such as nail guns, screws & drills safely
Following blueprints or instructions to create trusses
Quality control and checking of all products
Stacking, moving, and dispatching completed trusses
Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supervisors’ instructions accurately
What you require
Experience in construction manufacturing and assembly, with an ability to hit the ground running as a truss assembler
Knowledge of hand and power tools and confidence in operating them
Ability to follow blueprints, instructions and an eye for detail
Robust communication and ability to work well in a team environment
Physical fitness to be on your feet all day completing various tasks
Driver's license and reliable transport
Able to start ASAP
