About the role
The Parish Receptionist is responsible for providing a competent, welcoming point of initial contact to visitors of the Parish Office. The Receptionist will also provide secretarial, administrative, clerical and word processing support as requested by the Parish Priest. This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week.
The Receptionist is responsible for:
* Attending to reception enquiries in an efficient manner, giving clear and concise information and assistance.
* Establishing, maintaining, and securely storing parishioner records, sacramental registers and parish data.
* Preparing and distributing the Parish Bulletin and weekend mass materials.
* Maintaining diaries for parish and general bookings.
* Providing electronic media management for the parish website.
* Making appointments for baptisms and funerals and preparing the relevant forms and information packs.
* Providing secretarial support and contributing to the collegial approach of the Parish team and all Parish ministries, being aware of the roles of each ministry within the team and wider community.
What we're looking for
* An individual with experience in an administrative/receptionist role
* High level customer service and phone etiquette
* Intermediate competency in the use of Microsoft office suite
* Information technology and social media literacy
