Role Overview
Music educators are required to develop and enhance student learning outcomes in specialist instruments and ensembles, collaborating with music teachers to drive this initiative.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and implement effective learning programs for students to improve their capabilities and understanding in their chosen instrument.
2. Monitor student progress and identify areas where students may require additional learning support, including those with special needs or disabilities.
3. Develop teaching methods, materials, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities; provide alternative ways for small groups or individual students to access and demonstrate their understanding of the content.
4. Review attendance records and absenteeism, providing guidance and facilitating communication with stakeholders to promote improved outcomes.
5. Prepare content, create student plans, and provide support for concerts, liturgies, festivals, eisteddfods, music evenings, and examinations such as AMEB or Trinity College exams.
6. Maintain open communication and collaboration with key stakeholders, including updates on student progress and performance.
