Let's start with the obvious: you're a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who doesn't want to just shuffle drawings around or babysit projects that were already finished two years ago. You want to build things. Real things. Things that actually get designed, tested, and used in the real world.
This role is exactly that. You'll be joining a small but very capable engineering team who are creating products that combine complex mechanical systems with equally tricky electronics.
It's not routine work. There are prototypes to push through, systems to refine, and plenty of "how do we make this actually work?" moments. That's where you come in.
What you'll be doing most days
• Designing, modelling and developing mechanical components and systems
• Working closely with electrical engineers, designers and suppliers (so yes, actual collaboration)
• Building and testing prototypes
• Taking products through the full lifecycle from concept to production
Who you are
• You're fluent in CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
• You like solving problems, not just pointing them out
• You're comfortable getting hands-on with prototypes, not just living in spreadsheets and slide decks
What's in it for you
• A genuinely interesting mix of projects that will stretch your problem-solving muscles
• A role where your ideas will actually get listened to
• A salary that reflects your experience
• Flexible hybrid working arrangements
• And, most importantly, work that won't bore you to death
If you're tired of being one small cog in a massive corporate machine and want to actually see your work make it into the real world, this could be the move you've been waiting for.
