Overview
Due to internal transfers, engineers based in Perth are encouraged to apply for this 2/1 roster role to commence asap. Civil, SMPE&I construction experience is very advantageous. Goodline have been awarded a major expansion project for Rio Tinto on their Cape Lambert Site located within the Pilbara region of WA. The project scope is to introduce High Density Ore to the Cape Lambert A site, including a Greenfield Civil, SMPE&I construction to upgrade the existing infrastructure.
Qualifications required: Construction Induction Card (Mandatory).
Responsibilities
* Deliver multi-disciplined, technical construction projects in the mining or commercial construction industry.
* Manage contracts in industrial construction environments; oversee and support Contracts engineers in managing variations and claims.
* Oversee procurement and supplier/subcontracting functions.
* Identify potential contractual, schedule and safety risks.
* Report to the Project Manager and operate as a team leader managing the engineering, planning, project controls, QA and contract admin functions to support supervisory teams to safely execute site works on time and budget.
* Plan and schedule works, identify potential schedule risk, implement mitigation strategies and assess delays.
* Engage with stakeholders across various disciplines at multiple levels.
* Lead by example and assist in developing the project teams culture around safety, quality and environmental management.
* Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications and requirements
* Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a construction project environment in similar roles, with sound knowledge of core fundamentals of construction management.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver projects in mining or commercial construction; contract management experience in industrial environments.
* Must have a valid Construction Induction Card (Mandatory).
