Your new role (when the time comes!)
CMI Toyota is always on the lookout for people with a passion for the hands‐on side of the automotive industry and are interested in joining our team as an Automotive Trades Assistant. Whilst we're not hiring for a specific role right now, we know great people don't always wait for job ads! That's why we invite you to express your interest in future opportunities across any one of our four locations – West Terrace, Cheltenham, Christies Beach and Stepney.
This role could be your first step into a long and rewarding career in the mechanical trade and will see you supporting our Automotive Technicians in servicing our customers' vehicles. You'll be working with some of the best in the trade, providing a rare opportunity to grow and develop whilst on the job.
What you'll be doing
* Performing minor repairs, services and maintenance of vehicles
* Assisting technicians with tasks in the workshop
* Providing the highest level of workmanship
* Supporting other duties around the workshop as required
About you
You'll be a great fit if you have
* Previous experience in a mechanical workshop or tyre shop is desirable but not essential
* A relevant Certificate II or III is a bonus, but we value practical know-how just as much
* A strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in how vehicles work
* Great attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and instructions precisely
