About The Role
We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants. At Everyday Independence, no two days are the same. Your responsibilities may include:
Working in diverse settings such as homes, schools, playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
Utilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
Building meaningful relationships with participants and their support networks (family, carers, friends)
Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, using positive behaviour support frameworks
Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
Attending weekly team meetings in the Hub to share impact stories, and foster team spirit
Seeking support and guidance from your Team Leader and Therapy Mentor
Who We Are Looking For
Our team values collaboration and shared principles. We seek individuals who align with our values and can integrate seamlessly into our environment. To qualify, you should have:
A relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters, or Graduate Diploma)
Registration relevant to your profession (e.g., AHPRA for Occupational Therapists, SPA for Speech Pathologists, AASW for Social Workers, AHPRA for Mental Health Nurses, or degrees in Psychology/Social Science)
Deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
A positive, flexible approach to work
Strong communication skills and team orientation
Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
Valid Australian driver's license
NDIS Workers Screening Check
Working with Children's Check
