Support Professional Role
The role of a Support Professional involves delivering personal care and support to clients in a group home setting, with the aim of fostering independence and relationships.
* Providing daily living assistance and promoting physical well-being for clients
* Aiding the use of assistive technology and effective communication methods
* Empowering clients to participate in their preferred activities, hobbies, and social interactions
* Advocating on behalf of clients to access community services
To excel in this role, you will need:
* Relevant qualifications (minimum Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support)
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
* Problem-solving abilities and adaptability
* Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and professional conduct guidelines
