Key Responsibilities

* Configure, monitor and maintain SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, indexing and query optimisation.

* Implement access controls, encryption and audit trails to ensure data security and compliance with legislation.

* Create and manage backup schedules, ensuring reliable data recovery and regularly testing restore procedures.

* Write, debug and optimise SQL queries using performance tuning and monitoring tools.

* Analyse complex issues and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
">
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL database design, SSAS, SSIS and proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as C#, Python, R and SQL.
">
A degree or relevant certification in IT, Computer Science or Data Management is highly desirable, along with excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and effective communication skills.
