Geotechnical Career Opportunities
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our geotechnical team as a Graduate Engineering Geologist.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough testing, sampling, and interpretation of soil and rock materials to produce accurate geotechnical assessments and reports.
* Work closely with the Geotechnical Manager and Technical Manager to schedule daily/weekly work requirements and coordinate team efforts.
* Undertake data management including logs, gINT, and Jira management.
* Assist with digital data capture and processing as directed.
* Perform engineering test pits using hand augers, backhoes, and excavators.
* Supervise drilling operations using 4wd and truck-mounted drilling rigs.
* Log and sample soil material accurately.
* Conduct in-situ geotechnical testing such as dynamic cone penetrometer testing, hand shear vane testing, pocket penetrometer testing, and plate load tests.
* Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports for review by the Geotechnical Manager and submission to clients.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
A Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Geology is essential. Additionally, a great attitude, ability to learn, and work effectively in a team environment are crucial. The selected candidate must also be able to pass a 'fit to work' medical examination and regular drug and alcohol screening.
