We are seeking an experienced Test Lead/Manager with a strong background in payroll systems to lead the testing efforts for the transition of our payroll to a new managed services provider, ADP. The ideal candidate will need to have hands-on experience in managing end-to-end testing cycles, coordinating with cross-functional teams and the payroll vendor to ensure the delivery of high-quality and reliable payroll solution.
Reporting to the Project Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-impact payroll implementation program.
This position is a contract role to March 2026 based in Sydney Olympic Park.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage the overall integrated test approach, test plans, and test cases for our payroll systems, including ADP, Workday and UKG Dimensions
* Work closely with our payroll partner to understand their scope of testing and ensure that the end-to-end testing is comprehensive and includes scenarios that encompass the broader payroll ecosystem, for example, Workday, UKG Dimensions for Time & Attendance, Finance, bank file, data warehouse, etc. Ensure adequate coverage of testing across all impacted systems.
* Collaborate with internal HR, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure payroll requirements are accurately tested
* Manage and coordinate test environments and data preparation activities
* Support defect management and triage processes with vendor to ensure defects are addressed in a timely manner
* Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, tax laws, and enterprise policies.
* Coordinate with vendors, third-party providers and internal Technology teams for testing interfaces and integrations
* Track and report testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders
* Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and tools
* Produce test summary report once testing is finalized
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* 10+ years testing experience, ideally working on complex project environments
* 5+ years of Payroll implementation experience
* Proven ability to work across multiple SDLCs
* Strong understanding of Agile & Waterfall methodologies
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Commercial acumen and the ability to influence strategic decisions
* Consistently delivers high quality work
