About the Role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a Specialist Cardiologist to join the growing medical team at our Warrnambool campus. Working alongside local Cardiologists, you will deliver high-quality clinical services to patients across south west Victoria while contributing to the region’s major referral centre. This role offers the opportunity to combine clinical excellence with academic and teaching responsibilities in partnership with Deakin University’s Rural Clinical School, based in Warrnambool.
Responsibilities
Provide specialist cardiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Collaborate with fellow specialists, nursing, and allied health staff to deliver integrated patient care.
Participate in teaching and supervision of medical students, HMOs, and other clinical staff.
Contribute to ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
About You
Current registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner.
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in Cardiology, or equivalent qualifications for specialist recognition.
Significant clinical experience and training in cardiology.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and career development.
Experience in teaching and supervision of medical and clinical staff.
