Job description:
You will need to demonstrate sound technical knowledge and experience in equipment operation within a coal mining environment (at least two of the below):
* A strong commitment to Zero Harm;
* An ability to work and communicate well in a team environment;
* Compliance and knowledge with relevant mine site safety procedures, safe work instructions, standard operating procedures, legislation and rules.
* Undertake preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance, and refurbishment work.
* Perform diagnostics, fault finding and quality workmanship on equipment to minimise down time.
* Complete accurate daily maintenance records and trade shift reporting.
* Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day.
* Coaching and mentoring of apprentices.
* Positively influence the development and direction of maintenance strategies and processes to meet site requirements.
Qualifications
To be part of our ongoing success you will have:
* Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical
* Have proven experience as a diesel fitter maintaining heavy mobile equipment including but not limited to: Cat Bulldozers, Graders, and Loaders
* Diesel Fitter Trade qualified with 2 years post trade experience in a mining or similar environment
* Demonstrate a proactive approach and a positive outlook to waste reduction and cost effectiveness
* General computer skills with SAP & Microsoft office programs
* A passion for safety as a way of life - zero harm focus
* Compliance and exceptional knowledge of mine safety procedures, regulations, safe work instructions, legislation and rules
* Marion Dragline experience (desirable)
* Leading Hand experience (desirable)
