IMB's Member Value Team is looking for a full time Lending Support Consultant to help lenders and customers with loans from the point of enquiry through to application and submission. This opportunity will appeal to someone who genuinely wants to help people achieve their important financial goals, has a good understanding of lending/banking practices, and has confident and professional communication skills.
With a well-structured induction program and on the job training provided to ensure a smooth transition, the successful person will be supported by an experienced Team Leader and colleagues. The day-to-day requirements of the role include:
* Supporting IMB customers and lenders through the online lending process
* Enhancing customer relationships with meaningful and helpful conversations and responsively solving any problems
* Nurturing and actioning leads and queries that come through our online channels and systems
* Identifying opportunities for referrals and conversions of other products that are in the customers best interests
* Providing after settlement service to customers and carrying out activities to support IMB's lending retention objectives
* Working in line with procedural, operational, compliance and regulatory requirements
* Collaboratively working within a team to support each other and achieve team goals and objectives and contributing to project work.
To thrive in this role, we are looking for the following skills, attributes and experience:
* Retail banking experience with knowledge of products, rates, fees and processes
* Understanding of residential and personal lending and associated procedures, policies, systems and requirements
* A genuine passion for helping people and delivering great service outcomes
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
* Experience in a sales and service related environment
* The ability to have meaningful conversations to identify customer needs and assist them with appropriate solutions, services and ancillary products
* Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a calm and structured manner
* A desire to show initiative, take ownership of problems and work through them to achieve win-win outcomes
* An aptitude for software/digital apps, specifically lending and customer engagement tools/CRM systems/Microsoft 365
* The personality and flexibility to work with a diverse group of people and contribute to team success.
Our Contact Centre is located in IMB's Head Office in Wollongong and is a fresh, newly constructed building with great amenities, close to shops, cafes and the beach. The hours of operations are from Monday to Friday 8.00am-8.00pm and optional Saturday 9.00am-4.00pm. This is a full time role, with some flexibility in hours and hybrid work options after training is completed.
