About Your Opportunity

As a key member of the team, you will be required to research, analyze, and formulate plans and options to address diverse issues related to the Director (Northern)'s area of responsibility. You will also liaise and facilitate interaction between the Director (Northern) and key stakeholders within the Department, relevant agencies, and the community.


As the Regional Coordinator, you will:

1. Lead and manage a work group to develop a highly motivated and skilled team through a framework for service delivery in business operations, quality service, and resource management to meet client needs.
2. Provide and coordinate confidential and efficient managerial and administrative support to the Director (Northern) across all regional functions and programs.
3. Manage issues and complaints, coordinating timely responses from Product Centre Managers where appropriate.
4. Manage ongoing regional activities, such as security, regional building and maintenance programs, and the preparation and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans.
5. Research, analyze, and prepare correspondence, briefs, and reports, ensuring compliance with departmental standards and deadlines, and coordinate responses from Product Centre Managers.
6. Coordinate and support the delivery of projects and actions at a regional level, including undertaking special projects, preparing information for meetings, and monitoring progress.
7. Ensure the delivery of efficient, effective, and client-focused services by regional administrative support staff, including developing goals, managing staff performance, and ensuring a safe workplace.

This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB), following recent Machinery-of-Government changes. The current employment conditions are governed by the TMR Agreement until a new certified agreement is negotiated.
