Supporting Students with Special Needs
The Special Education Assistant plays a vital role in supporting students with special needs in academic and personal settings.
Responsibilities include:
* Adapting instructional materials and activities to meet individual student needs
* Providing one-on-one support to students with severe or profound disabilities
* Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement behavioral plans
* Maintaining accurate records and reports on student progress
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with relevant experience working with children. Additional training in areas such as crisis intervention and behavior management may be beneficial for this role.
