Driven by You.****About the Opportunity:**Provide Regulatory Affairs leadership in the development and implementation of regulatory strategies to support the achievement of business objective for Australia and New Zealand Global Consumer Businesses units, while ensuring compliance with domestic and international Disinfectant, Textile, Medical Device, Cosmetic and Consumer Product regulations. Facilitate the preparation, collation and submission of documents related to the registration / import of new products and changes to existing products in ANZ. Provide regulatory training and strategic assessments to the R&D/MKT/Quality team in support of new regulations and new technology development that is cognizant of product testing.Consumer products include but not limited: Professional Products, Medical Devices, Family Care, wet wipes, etc.**Key Customers:**All levels of management within Research & Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Product Supply, Market Research, Suppliers, Government, External Consultants, Research Organizations and Trade Associations.**General Expectations and Accountabilities:**1) Development and improvement regulatory affairs programs and/or projects involving department or cross-functional teams2) Communicate appropriately with all customers, conducting all communications and transactions with the utmost integrity and honesty so as to build an unimpeachable business reputation.3) Initiates, develops and implements new regulatory affairs concepts, tools and strategies to improve business practices, and assure business, facility and corporate objectives are met.4) Provides technical leadership and expertise to support teams in manufacturing and marketing full ranges of products worldwide.5) Manage self in accordance with the expected behaviors of the Leadership Qualities.6) Ensure that all elements of the corporate Human Resources Development and Diversity policy are fully supported.**Position Specific Accountabilities:**1) Provide functional leadership, expertise and counsel to develop product regulatory market entry strategies and determine regulatory documentation requirements for NewCo products in the ANZ and communicate these requirements to project teams.2) Provide interpretation, direction and advice on relevant new and existing regulations and legislationand guidance to support compliance with all relevant laws and regulations which affect the organization's activities.3) Communicate NewCo regulatory policy as well as ANZ regulations related to product safety with R&E and MKT team to make sure the product and ingredients design compliance with NewCo requirement and local regulations.4) Review and approve together with legal team for all kinds of claims related to the products.5) Ensure that regulatory submissions and notifications are prepared and submitted accurately, completely and in a timely manner to meet business objectives6) Continues monitoring regulation change and trend within ANZ and conduct compliance assessment based on each country selling product category.7) Recommend, develop and support implementation of regulatory affairs policies and procedures.8) Ensure that all matters within the incumbent's area of responsibility which could adversely impact the business of the organization or the Corporation are communicated in a timely manner. Communicate with senior management and others, who need to know, in a timely, complete and clear manner.9) Responsible for dealing post-marketing surveillance issues with government agencies and customers through proposing specific solutions and implementing them to minimize losses to the business10) Represent NewCo interests at Trade Associations, in order to gain knowledge and influence regulations and standards by collaborating with other similar companies.11) Execute global regulatory initiatives to align with global strategies.12) Perform other tasks and activities as directed by the Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety Director.**Scope:**Incumbent reports to Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety Director. Provides strategic leadership, direction, advice and assistance to the organization's facilities, business sectors and team members on regulatory compliance and knowledge management. Responsible for chemical management for whole ANZ region. Enables market access for K-C products throughout ANZ by developing knowledge of the country regulations / import restrictions and developing and implementing strategies and processes for getting products to market in a timely and cost-effective manner.This position also provides support for global and APAC projects.**Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:**Normally requires a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Engineer or Legal discipline and at least 8 years broad managerial experience in a Research, Manufacturing, Supply, Quality, Product Safety, Regulatory Affairs or Legal function. An advanced degree is desirable. An in-depth knowledge of ANZ and other regional regulations with a principle focus on Medical Device, Cosmetics and Consumer Products is preferred. Experience should include close working relationships with Business, Marketing, Manufacturing and Research functions and excellent communication skills are essential. It required demonstrated evidence of a solid background of technical knowledge and experience combined with the proven ability to successfully direct projects and influence people at all organizational levels.
