This role will be responsible for overseeing and actively completing the maintenance and property support services across both Kitty Doyle Apartments and Gimbawali Place. The successful candidate will ensure that all buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards, in compliance with current regulations and BaptistCare’s quality standards.About Kitty Doyle Apartments: Kitty Doyle Apartments is a thriving community of seniors. The complex consists of two buildings with 79 one and two-bedroom apartments. Residents enjoy beautifully landscaped gardens, a BBQ area, a community centre, and a veggie garden. The apartments offer stunning views of the city, Canada Bay, and the inner west from higher floors, while ground floor apartments feature tranquil garden outlooksAbout Gimbawali Place: Gimbawali Place is BaptistCare’s largest social and affordable community housing complex. It consists of 162 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments for people over 55 and single-parent families who are still in the workforce. The complex features panoramic views of Sydney, Parramatta, and Homebush from some apartment balconies, a central courtyard, children's playground, community space with a kitchen, communal lounge area, basement carpark, and landscaped surroundsAbout The RoleManage and perform both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of buildings, plant, equipment, furniture, fittings, gardens, lawns, and carparksEnsure all maintenance activities comply with Social and Affordable housing regulations and legislation and other relevant regulationsWork closely with Site Managers and the Area Manager (Property) to deliver maintenance servicesMaintain accurate records, and ensure the maintenance of site vehicles, plant, and machineryLiaise with contractors, tradespersons, suppliers, and volunteers to ensure all work is completed to BaptistCare’s standardsAbout YouProven experience in a maintenance role.Strong knowledge of building maintenance, plant, and equipment.Excellent team management and leadership skills & experience in leading contractorsAbility to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.Strong organizational and time management skills.Commitment to upholding BaptistCare’s values and standards.Relevant Trade Qualification - highly recommendedCurrent Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicleDemonstrated commitment to WHS in the workplaceHave empathy, flexibility and patienceSound computer literacy in Word, Excel and OutlookExperience using a CMMS (recommended)NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment purposesBaptistCare is a leading for-purpose Christian-based care organisation that supports thousands of people across more than 100 locations in NSW, ACT and WA.
