Lynas Rare Earths has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician at our Kalgoorlie Rare Earth Processing Facility (REPF).
A sustainable business, our products are used in many applications. Industry leading residential 7:7 roster – Dayshift, Dayshift, Nightshift pattern, Kalgoorlie residential.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a safety focused Maintenance Technician (fixed plant fitter) wanting to join us on our journey. Construction of our new plant is completed, and you will have the opportunity to be directly involved in the supporting operational readiness as the plant takes shape, and maintaining and optimizing the plant to improve its performance.
Responsibilities
* Participating in developing maintenance strategies for new plant and equipment
* Providing maintenance support to the operation
* Ensuring risks are identified and managed and a safe working environment is maintained
* Undertaking projects to optimise and upgrade plant performance
Qualifications
* Prior experience in mining or heavy industrial environment
* Relevant Australian-recognised mechanical fitting Trade certification
* West Australian C Class Manual Drivers License (minimum)
* Current High Risk Forklift, EWP, CN tickets (desirable)
* Unwavering approach to safety
* Experience on various types of pumps, valves, gearboxes and agitators
* Understanding of lubrication activities, such as oil and grease types
* Ability to follow lubrication schedules, carry out oil sampling and analysis
* Condition monitoring experience (desirable)
* Hydraulic and pneumatic experience (desirable)
* Basic level of computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
* Full Australian working rights
* Must reside locally within the Goldfields region for our residential site, or be willing to relocate
* Must be able to pass a respirator fit test (as per AS 1715:2009).
