Working within the Kwinana Bulk Terminal (KBT) Redevelopment Project team, this major project is a rare opportunity with a location in the greater Perth Metropolitan area, project stability and longevity, and an ability to have impact in a project set to significantly increase WA marine trade capability. The projected completion date for the project is end 2032.

Role Highlights

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Influence and guide electrical, instrumentation and control design to meet scope, schedule and compliance requirements.
* Provide technical expertise across PLC, SCADA, instrumentation and industrial communications in diverse environments.
* Ensure alignment with technical standards, stakeholder expectations and Australian Standards compliance.
* Review designs and deliverables, manage RFIs/queries, and oversee risks across E&I scopes.
* Support tender activities, manage consultants, and lead design reviews through to close‐out.
As a technically credible and influential engineering leader you can manage complexity, drive alignment, and ensure high‐quality, compliant electrical outcomes through collaborative, accountable and respectful leadership, in a stakeholder‐heavy environment.
You'll also bring:
* Degree in electrical engineering, and a minimum of 10 to 15 years' experience in the delivery of mining and/or industrial projects.
* Experienced in the design, construction, and maintenance of HV/LV electrical assets.
* Strong experience in analysing existing and/or proposed HV/LV electrical assets to evaluate effectiveness and provide recommendation.
* Experienced in writing specifications and technical reports.
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Excellent problem‐solving and analytical abilities.
* Detailed knowledge of statutory requirements and national standards associated with the design, approval and development of HV/LV electrical assets.
Highly desirable skills:
* Owner's engineer experience highly desirable
* Chartered Engineer, or eligible for Chartered Engineer registration.
* Knowledge of Port operations and electrical infrastructure.
* Experience with electrical installations within Hazardous Areas.
* Knowledge of Western Power Technical Rules and embedded network requirements.
* Experience with protection grading.
* Experience with substation earthing systems.
* Communication, PLC (Rockwell) and SCADA systems.
* Knowledge of renewable energy systems.
* Experience with CCTV and access security systems.
