Job Summary
Maintain, repair and sustain facilities including grounds, exterior structures, buildings, utilities by using trade practices such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, painting and other related trades.
Key Responsibilities
Performs skilled work in maintaining, repairing, altering and remodeling buildings, offices or facilities. Performs rough and finished carpentry. Demolishes and rebuilds partitions. Builds and repairs wooden equipment from sketches and blueprints. Installs pre-hung, slab, wood-framed, and metal doors and window frames. Repairs doors, door checks, and locks. Installs flooring including wood, linoleum, carpet, and tile. Performs bench carpentry using shop equipment and power tools. Repairs or replaces defective roofing and installs roofing materials. Performs drywall work and patches damaged wall surfaces. Assembles, installs, and repairs water pipes, fittings, fixtures, and heating, and drainage systems. Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on cooling and air distribution systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience in managing multiple locations and acknowledging, tracking, and communicating through electronic ticketing systems.
Requirements
Employees may be assigned duties requiring motor vehicle operation and must possess a valid Maryland driver's license.
